Old man winter struck Iowa today. 15 inches of snow and very strong winds kept me stranded at home today. My shop is small and I have a limited amount of wood available but I had to do something today so I decided to try my first end gran cutting board. Due to a couple mistakes it ended up a little smaller than I planed but it worked out all right for cheese or a small bread loaf. I did not have any thick stock available so I just made it out of 3/4 inch stock but I did learn some things and the next one I try will be bigger and thicker. Finished size is 5” x 9-1/2” x 3/4”. I also made a small mantle clock and a letter holder which I have made before but it gave me something to do on a snowy day. I think I will make a trip to the wood store and stock up before the next storm hits.

Good job, what problems you run into? Degoose has helped me along with boards as others have as well. I have made over 20 now, so feel free to ask anyone of your new friends here questions. Were all family and sure to help if you like. Again nice work.
