My basement shop is growing more and more cramped. So I gave my old saw horses to my son and decided to build some new ones which need less storage space. I remembered a video I saw some time ago. These horses can be disassembled and stored on a wall – just what I needed.

I built four vertical parts, two long horizontal ones, and two short knee-shaped parts. These can for example be combined into two short horses or a long an a short one. This should cover all my needs. The original is built from plywood whereas I used cheaper OSB with spruce reinforcements.

The video shows lots of other variations on this theme and in the meanwhile you can also buy them if you choose not to build them yourself.

good solution for a limited space. you might also want to look into what Tom Fidgen called “Bents”; they’re light, sturdy, and versatile. Still, yours should cover your needs quite well!

Great tool! I instantly loved the design of the original, especially that it was three-legged. And I really like your version!
