Items I have been building on spec. Trying to make a sample of anything that can be built using old lumber. The first one ALWAYS takes longer. I enjoy the search and the end result. Very rewarding.
First one is poplar wood, distressed finish.
Second one is a jam cabinet, I used old fence boards treated with Thompsons water seal, my distressed finish did not take in some places, sanded the boards down to raw wood, still some wax left in lumber.
Third one is an end table for den or living room.
Sixth a cubical cabinet for baskets.(Socks, underwear, whatever?)
Fourth is my coffee table. In the background is another small primitive table.(coffe cup fits well)
Fifth is a mirror I salvaged from water bed frame. Used corrak boards and left live edge on outside.

Good job(s). I especially liked the mirror frame. They’re all nice.
I too like to reuse wood to make something new. I feels good.

Nice work. There is friend in my home town who is making restaurant furniture out of reclaimed wood that comes out of old wooden factory buildings that are being dismantled and salvaged. He is doing quite well.

When I livied in Eastern Canada they were salvaging old warehouses. Big timbers, making floor planks, etc. Out here in Western Canada we have vand small buiarger buildings. LOTS of farm barns and small buildings. I am working with what is available close by.
