Project Information

Never discount a source of wood. What we have here is a piece of ash that I pulled out of a yard waste dump. Interestingly enough, the wood was already at 10-12% when I got it home. My wife has plants all around the house but doesn't like the "ugly" plastic pots they come in. I decided to turn her a pot that she could put one of her plants in. Keep in mind that there is a plastic liner that fits inside the wooden pot to protect the wood from the water of the plant. It is deep enough to completely hide a 4 inch plastic pot and the wall of the pot is approximately 3/16" thick all the way through.

Nice, now I know what to do with all the bowls I make, turn them to fit a liner.
