Here’s one for my nephew & niece. Pine. Shorter, clearly, so they can sit at it. Nice big drawer that runs all the way through – who knew that would be the kids’ favorite part – it’s like magic as it goes in one side, and comes out the other!

Walnut keys in the corners of the drawer – I wanted to try something other that the dovetails – I love that look. And a spline in the end of the top for some aesthetic appeal, and I suppose a bit of strength. Legs are just fir 4×4 tapered on two sides. They stained it to taste – it looks great.

This looks like one stout table! I like the splines. Good job!

Thanks guys. The skirt is probably a little too beefy, actually – might not provide as much room to grow as I would have liked. But you’re right Doug, dance away, kids!
