Pantry with Floating shelves

I remodeled this small pantry…. removed all the old shelving (which was hideous), patched up the walls, removed popcorn and added knockdown texture… and then built these nice looking floating shelves, which you can see in the pictures.

I used 4/4 pine which I got from HD as stair treads.

Great idea. I will doing the same thing in the new pantry I am building onto our new house…yea, I said onto the house. After the house was built we decided to have a larger kitchen without the pantry and just build a 6X10 onto the rear of the kitchen with a pantry door.

Very nice. The floating shelves may have been an expensive overkill for a pantry but they sure look nice.
