I built this clock as a gift for my parents a few years back. The design came out of an old Wood magazine that my father-in-law had, but the dimensions a little bit different. The plans also list a website to order several different styles of panels that fit in the bottom of the clock, but I opted to go with the etched glass instead. I used double-sided tape and paper to do a negative overlay of the “W” and vine design around the outside of the glass, and then a bead blaster to etch it. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with how it turned out, and my parents like it as well.

Great looking mantel clock! I’ve seen this design before, and really like the etched glass for the bottom panel!

Excellent simple design.. Really like the ‘nails/studs’, which draw the eye. Great!
