I was commissioned to build this humidor as a retirement gift for the local Police Association President.
It’s made of quarter sawn walnut and curly maple. The logo on the lid was done at a local laser etcher that I have used before and does fantastic work.
The humidor is approximately 14” x 9” x 5” tall. It is lined with Spanish cedar and the top tray slides and is removable. The lid seals quite snugly and keeps the moisture in well.
I did most of the work on this humidor with hand tools, including the curves in the sides of the box.
The gift was very well received and I have since been asked to make more like this.
