It is 3 pieces glued together, each section is 3 layers of 5/8 baltic birch with 3/8 birch edge banding finished with polymerized tung oil.
I welded the brackets as well, my first welding project.

Nice bar and that sled is way cool! Great solution to what can be a sticky problem.
