Shop Stool - Nothing Fancy

Nothing fancy, but my drill press will be delivered sometime next week and I needed something to put it on. This was an unplanned project, but I was in the shop last night and noticed four good size pieces of quarter-sawn Doug Fir 2×4’s and I started cutting. I decided to put a 10 degree (slope, angle?) on everything, which confused me at first trying to match up this legs. I probably cut away 2” before getting it right.
The top was some crappy exterior grade ply scraps from a dog house I built in November (which actually started my interest in woodworking, though I don’t really consider that build “woodworking”)
This thing isn’t very pretty, but it’s solid, and it was fun just building from scratch with no plans and trying to figure out how to tackle different issues. It was fun being able to do some little things I haven’t done before like resawing 2×4’s for the apron rails on my new band saw. She’ll look a lot prettier once I have my drill press on top.
