I know some of you get tired of people listing their pens. But for me they never seem to get old. While I did other stuff this weekend that isn’t listed, these pens were a lot of fun. It is always fun when the wife comes up to the shop with me and helps out. She made the 4 fatter pens in the 3rd picture. She says that these thicker pens are easier for people with arthritis in their hands, and I had a woman tell me the same at work. I made the purple and black one for her. These were all PSI pens, which I have had little problems with over the years, but I did have about 8 or so inks leak out which I will be sending to PSI for a refund. Got all over some of the unbagged parts, messy. The Gatsby pen is exotic tulip wood, and all the rest is Colorwood from Rutland Wood which burnt down a while ago.

I don’t usually sell these pens, just give them away, made a bunch for the Freedom Pen Movement, but just seeing people’s look when you give them a colorful pen like these is worth it all. A great stress releaver, you should try it if you haven’t. So a cup of coffee, my wife, wood lathes, Colorwood, and our two shop dogs, it doesn’t get much better.

Thanks for reading.

great job buddy, ive been making pens for about 15 years now and it has really evolved from when i started.a lot too choice from now.and your right its a great way to relax and enjoy some wood working without getting the whole shop setup.i usually make mine late in the year for the holidays, some i give away as gifts,i mean who cant use a pen or two,and some i sell at work.have you gone on IAP, international association of penturners, its like this site except totally for pen makers.
