Here is a box I finished for this last weekends carving show. I call it “the Goodwill Box” because I got the idea from a box I had seen at Goodwill. The box is made of basswood. This is my second attempt at making my own box. All in all, I think it turned out pretty good.

beautiful work-I really like the sheep staring at it in the 2nd photo.

Thank you. The box took me about 10 hrs to finish, the sheep took about 3 years to finish. I started carving the sheep and through it in my carving toolbox and left it for years.

Wow! That box is a whole lot more complicated than I thought the first time I looked at it! I’d like to see more pictures or even a blog on how you built it! Thanks for sharing!
