For our daughter’s 1st birthday, I decided to draft up a party favor toy for the babies coming to celebrate. The baby’s been copying our dog howling so thought it’d be fun to capture that moment in the toys! The rolling dog toys are made out of poplar, unfinished. Not sure if our dog approves of them hehe. For her birthday present, I made her a stacking toy out of poplar and walnut, also unfinished (cuz I ran out of time, oops) :). Easy and fun projects, minus the sanding.

These are cute Helen! Does your daughter still play with the stacking toy? Thanks for sharing. That pic with the dog is great!

Thanks, Candy! Yup, she’s actually 5 now and still plays with it, only because #2 (who’s almost 18 months) plays with it! They both still play with the wooden toys :).
