I made this for our granddaughter when she was born. It is made with pine 2x and stained with a natural finish. When the other grandaughter was born, I was told I needed to build another rockinghorse. I said they could share. Wrong answer!! So needless to say, they each have their own rockinghorse that they hopefully will pass on to their children from their Paw Paw.

Well of course they need their “own” horse! They might both want to ride them at the same time ;^D

Nice work – cool present.

Every family needs two horses!!! I am sure that they both will pass through more than one generation. Nice work….

Thanks for the comments, they are appreciated.
Partridge, I bought the plans from Meisel. Their web site is meiselwoodhobby.com and do a search for item W2330

Nice horse. It is interesting that there are so many different ways to make a rocking horse. I haven’t had a reason to make a second one yet.
