this is the final piece of a bedroom suite commission that i’ve been working on. this was my first time of really incorporating lathe work into a project. i was pretty happy with the results. the fleur de lis carved in the headboard was a request from the customer. he’s from lousiana and of french descent, so it adds a nice personal touch.

my photography skills/garage lighting need some improvement, but i promise, all of these pieces do match.

I understand what goes into something like this as I recently completed my first one. Very nice clean lines to this. Something that will never go out of style.

-- The smell of wood, coffee in the cup, the wife let's me do my thing, the lake is peaceful.
