I am learning to carve onto my turnings. This one is made of American Chestnut The top was turned on vacuum and the circle was sandblasted, the 2 Ibis were pyro’d to outline the birds. On the back an inner square frame was also sandblasted and a Chinese Character (meaning FOREVER) was incised. Then I carved the bottom edge to insert a Canadian quarter. Dimensions are 11” square x 1.5” ht.
