This is the project that got me into woodworking in the Summer of 2014. Our kitchen breakfast area is far too small to fit a typical table and chair set, so I made a banquette with storage to save space. The current breakfast table is a temporary placeholder that will be replaced by a custom table I am in the process of making.

Yes, my first. When I started this project, I had no idea how to use a circular saw, what the difference is between hard and soft wood, or what a butt joint is. The most I had done before this was assemble some particle board furniture from Ikea.
