Made a trestle table out of Texas grown yellow pine construction lumber. This was a fun project and I’m quite proud of how well the hand jointed top came out. I breadboarded the ends and pegged it with 1/2” oak dowels. The trestles were built with through mortise and tenons. The cross piece has tapered tusks that draw the trestles together. I also added a support piece for the middle. Used General Finishes mahogany stain and applied Minwax polyurethane and waxed it. The trestle base was panted with general finishes lamp black milk paint with a little boiled linseed oil to seal it some.

Excellent work on this great looking trestle table! I’m sure you’ll get a lot of enjoyment as you’re sitting around it!
