Video with commentary here:

For a while I have had a bunch of knives that I made, but nothing small enough (with a clip) where it was convenient to carry it around every day. This is what I put together to fill that need. Somewhat interestingly I think this knife may be a little small to be comfortable clipped into the pocket if that makes sense. I think with something a little wider it could have a smoother transition, even though this knife is small if feels chunky in the pocket. That said it certainly works for now.

To put this knife together I found a nice piece of walnut that had a knot in it to add a bit of character, and glued that together with some redheart and koa wood. I ditched the screws that came with the knife and used a bit of brass rod for the pins. I glued everything together with 2 part epoxy, shaped it with the belt sander, finished it with orbital and hand sanding, then used a wipe on polyurethane.

Hope you enjoy!
