In my basement I have my TV linked to my desktop PC and sometimes like browsing the internet while sitting on my couch. Unfortunately I do not have the room between my couch and TV for a coffee table or anything, so I always have to get up and grab the TV remote, mouse, keyboard, and then get back down, and the mouse constantly falls off the back of the couch, also, where do I put my beer?

I saw Steve Ramsey make something similar and found a neat little setup similar to what I wound up doing on pinterest and fit it to my needs.

Made exclusively out of pallet and scrap wood (I suppose I need to start taking pictures mid-build, I’m terrible) and stained with min-wax mahogany.

The bulk of the pallets I get have very nice pine (I think?) about 3.5 inches wide and I just use my jointer to clean them up and glue them end to end, just glue, no dowels or biscuits, seems to hold up fine without them.

I definitely screwed up on a few things ( mostly rounding over things that would have looked better flat, etc. ) but hey, it was free, I got to be in the garage, and it solved a problem. Good enough for me!
