Potato Bin and bullet

I made this potato bin as a Christmas gift for 2015. Made mostly from reclaimed red oak from my parents house (1930). When I was hand planing the top down I noticed something a bit shiny. After evaluating I determined that it was a bullet. I guess the former owners shot the wall or perhaps it was impacted when this tree was still standing pre-1930s. 3 coats of tung oil

very cool piece I wish we had room in the kitchen for one being mostly german -well you know what I mean.nice job with a great farmhouse vibe.i wish the pics were a little sharper though.

Michael that potato bin is fabulous!!! I’d love to have you make one for me… only with 4 bins instead of three. Do you do custom orders?
