These are a pair of matching shelves I just recently finished. All hand-cut dovetails on curly cherry. Flush mounted to the wall. I did’t want a book shelf project, but rather something to display some small items.
They are 9” deep x 42” long x 9” tall. Finish is Watco Danish Oil and Butcher’s wax.
I am working on a pair of similar ones from purple heart. This pair will have one large size, and one smaller size.
They are the last two pictures in this series.

Andy, I like the clean look and the dovetails really set it off. Nice job.

Well done. Nicely cut dovetails. Cherry is beautiful. Not your conventional shelves. How did you flush mount them?

To mount them I used some keyhole hardware from rockler. Then just simply attached two drywall anchors with screws and hung them. They sit aoubt 1/8” from the wall. I also used some small rubber adhesive pads towards the bottom portion that contacts the wall.
