Project Information

Nomatter how much room you have on your desk, it never seem to be enough, right?
The light in my G11 Keyboard is very dim, so I made a groove for some LED strips to help illuminate the keyboard. It´s also nice having to look straight at the monitor, instead of looking down.

Wood: Oak tabletop, with Mahogany legs. Leftovers from another build.

Coating: 2 x Oil

Joinery: Mortise and Tennons, and Halflaps

Total expenses on this build: $40 for the LEDs.

I´m very pleased how the curved tablelegs turned out, if I have to say so myself. Enjoy

Have a good day

Real nice flow in those legs, and I like the half lap joint you used. Well done.

That's a great way to dress up an otherwise mundane item.

Thanks for posting,

Really Nice! I guess it would have to be perfect for something that you have to stare at for hours a day!

Fellow head-fi-er too I see, nice background…

Thanks guys…
Having curved the edges of the legs on the router table, I couldnt make the half lap joint flush on both sides. That being said, I really like how the front and back legs get offset.

In all fairness, my desktop have never been as clean and tidy, as when I had to take these pictures for Lumberjocks :)

The headset stand on the screen, is on my to-do list.
Girlfriend bought me some sweet Logitech Surround speakers for my birthday, but there are still times where headset is prefered.
