I recently moved, had bought myself the cheapest plastic cutting board I could find. Eventually, it gets the point where I realized “I’m a woodworker, why am I using this?” Simple design, half inch maple flats with walnut accent strips.

Looks good. I too am troubled by all the things I use that I could or should make for myself. Cutting boards are a thing my wife uses, and they make great gifts. I just haven’t taken that step yet. One of the things slowing me down is the notion that I need to build end grain boards, which are a few more glue-up steps. Your fine looking project may encourage me to just do it, and get over my notions. :-) Thanks for sharing your project.
