This is a jewelry box that I made out of recycled cypress flooring from a 100 year old + house. I have had the plan for several years and I think it may have come from Wood Magazine. The old growth cypress is amazing stuff. The quarter sawn pieces have 20-25 growth rings per inch in places. The box is finished with Danish Oil and waxed. I will try to get some pictures of the rough lumber and describe how I got the pieces in the wood and lumber forum on lumberjocks.

Thanks for the comment but not my design. Yes, that is my feeble attempt at handcut dovetails. I really don’t do a lot of woodworking; I am strictly amateur.

Very nice box with lots of character in the wood.

I like the box and the pieces of wood you used to play with light and dark tones
