This is a little bit deceptive. What looks like a pot rack is really walnut strips that indicate where the ceiling joists are.
My ceiling is too low for to actually hang a rack and then hang pots on the rack. The strips are attached to the joists, 1/4” x 4” hooks go through the strips and into the joists to do all the heavy lifting. If you are shorter than 6’ 4” you can safely pass under and not be a headbanger.

We just finished a remodel of the kitchen and dining room, combining 2 small rooms into 1 room. The ceilings of the 2 rooms are not level to each other. Where the 2 walls become 1, they are 1/2” out of being level to each other. These thin strips hide that mostly, you can see it if you’re looking for it.

Floating shelves are another feature of the redo.

Here’s a cheap and easy way to do them.

Well done Hairy!!!! Looks nice. The floating shelves are appealing also.
