My nephew was in town for my daughters birthday so we decided to make a rubber band gun together. He is still pretty young so he couldn’t do too much, but he did drill out the trigger hole.
I used maple for the gun and walnut for the barrel. I also used one of my walnut Heritage Clothespins for the trigger mechanism. Walnut oil was applied for the finish.

Nice, always good to get the kids involved. Mine like to watch and if I am lucky want to use the shop vac to clean up.

I remember when I was a little guy, my uncle brought me a rubber band gun simular to that. I loved that thing, and my mom hated it. I think I still have it. It’s bound to be a treasured possession for your nephew. Great job.
