My son got his first house in MD and wanted me to buy some Adirondak Chairs for $100 ea. I made these two chairs and matching side table from clear cedar at a raw material cost of just under $300 and lots of labor of love. I drove them down in peaces in my car and assembled and finished them at his house. I used plans from the inernet but modified them to my likling. Kreg works great to hold the arm without having to drill holes down from the top. They were thrilled with the chairs and as expected their friends want me to make them some as well.

Good looking chairs and table. I’m sure your son was thrilled. You might not have saved any money, but you really outdid any store bought chair. Well done.
