I am currently enrolled in a Wood Manufacturing/Cabinetmaking course at Holland College in Summerside, PEI. Our first project of the year was this boot jack, we received a piece of pine measuring approximately 1”x6”x15” like you see in the last picture posted and we had to work it using only hand tools, no power allowed for this one. The plan that was given to us was a bit off on some measurements and angles which made it a bit more difficult… our instructor seemed to get a kick out of watching us struggle a little haha. Anyway here it is, the finished boot jack, enjoy.

Grat start. Simple design yet functional item.

Keep it up.

Hi CStrang,
Looks like you’re off to a good start, I live 22 miles from where you are. Shediac is across Northumberland Straight, with proper weather conditions I can see PEI out my front window. I expect you plan to work in Newfoundland. Good luck with your endeavours.
