Faux Fireplace Mantle

This new mantle was designed and made to fit over the outdated existing brick mantle in our living room that I had built around 30 years ago. The fireplace is fake and incorporates an electric fake fireplace log setup. It does however look pretty real. The new mantle was made from primarily 1/2 inch MDF and standard wood molding shapes. The mirror frame was made from 1×4 pine and routed to provide character to the plane faces. The bevelled mirror was custom made to match the frame.
The inner portion that forms the “Firebox” is also MDF covered witih green self-adhesive faux marble flooring tiles
