it all started with the left over 1 3/4 by 4 in yellow heart left over form the last cutting board i made. A little re sawing and here you are. lids in order of pic’s are, padauk, lace wood, rosewood and purpleheart splines are either blood wood or padauk hinges are purpleheart and bloodwood and just in case they did not look like clown boxes enough i lined them in bright red felt. size is 8 by 4 by 4 inchs tall. closer to 4 1/2 tall outside with the lid.
poor yellowheart never saw it coming…

eddy, everyone of the woods contrasts beautifully with the yellowheart. Great looking boxes.

I always wondered where you stored clowns. Now I know. Beautiful boxes. I never get tired of looking at the boxes people create. I especially like the hinges.

Great use of scraps/leftovers. Fantastic group of boxes. Lots of nice contrasting colors. Love those hinges.

Keep it up.

thanks, I like the wood hinges, it makes a box a little more unique, I have made a few myself, and it always adds to the box.
