This was a fun project with instant gratification. Designing as I went along and using leftover wood. It took a day and it allowed me to use all my woodworking machines. Using the jointer, tablesaw, bandsaw, planer and drill press help me get acquainted with my tools again. The wood used is birdseye maple with a makore handle.

It was so much fun that I made another one the next day! This Peel is made with European pear with a birdseye handle.

Nice, I have been meaning to make one for some time. Great wood choice.

I like your design, ones I made are to big. one thing I do is as the whole assemble is going through the planer i start cranking on the thickness handle and it tapers the whole thing, I had sold some at a store and people liked them because of the complete taper. Just remembered I can do this as I have a 20 inch planer, not the norm.
