This was built for a friend who recently lost her father. In his workshop they found wood he had cut off his farm. I”m not sure what all the wood is, possibly white oak, ash, pin oak, and red oak. It is my hope that this piece reminds her of her dad and reminds her of his love of their family farm and his hobby of woodworking.

Jim, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but that piece has something extraordinarily appealing about it. The design isn’t so different to other things I’ve seen, so I guess it must be the wood, the craftsmanship and the finish. This is really A fine piece you can be justifiably proud of.

God Bless to your friend and her family. I agree with Stefang there is something about it. What keeps bringing me back to it, is the middle glass door. I think the roundness in the frames keeps peaking my interest! Great job!
