This entertainment center will also have 6 foot side cabinets and a bridge. The carving was actually from another piece but it was very dark and the relief was pretty shallow. I wanted to take off the finish and make the design much more pronounced. I am not a woodcarver and this was a good experience to get the feel of carving, having a template of sorts to follow. I can’t decide if I should add doors with glass for remotes to be able to operate electronic devices that will be in the cabinet.

Very nice work, I would go with glass doors if you can keep the wiring neet. If not go with wooden ones.
Just my 2 cents

Very nice, I like the carving. I have some electronics behind glass doors and it’s works well with the remotes. If you are thinking about using glass doors, keep in mind some of the electronics will put out some heat. It may or may not be an issue depends on your components. Again nice looking entertainment center.

Very nice work. I especially like the carving. Is the carving your own design or a traditional form?

You are NOT a carver. I wish I was NOT a carver like you. Look darn good to me.

Great looking project.

By all means glass doors if you plan on having electronics under there. Keeps the kids, dogs and dust off all of your stuff while still being able to use your remotes.

That’s exactly what did for those very reasons.
