This is my normal Chopping Block with a new twist. The client wanted to have his two favourite knives on the block. I came up with this hinged scabbard to hold them safely. The scabbard is mounted on 2 SS pins and can be removed easily for cleaning.

There is a set of wrought Iron hooks on the opposite side for hanging cloths etc.

The top can also be removed for cleaning. The top is 1000 mm x 750 mm.

The piece is made from recycled Ipil, Molave and Yakal. It is oiled with grapeseed oil as I find that this does not go rancid and is food safe.

Thank you for looking and a very Happy and Prosperous New Year to you All at Lumberjocks.
