Project Information

The original inspiration for this was an issue of Lowe's Creative Ideas magazine. My wife saw the coffee table and said she would like one similar. The End tables and Sofa Table (picture still to come) were then added to her wish list.
Standard poplar stock from Lowe's along with some scrap 3/4" plywood are the materials for these.
Glass was the most expensive part. Tempered glass isn't cheap these days.
construction was simple pocket hole and glue. Stain is a blond minwax.

That's an amazing looking coffee table. I have been wanting to do SOMETHING…ANYTHING with glass for a while now, lol. I actually have 160 pieces of tempered glass (mix of 12×12, 14×16, and 16×16)....and they have been an eye sore for me for almost 4 years. I need to do something with them…

Levo,
If you have that much tempered glass, you are sitting on a gold mine!
My most expensive part was the tempered glass. I was shocked when I got the bill from our local glass dealer.

The original plans called for lexan or plastic but I decided to use the tempered glass instead.
Thanks for the note and comments
