Project Information

These cabinets are made from recycled Oregon pine flooring that was pulled out during the rennovation of this old beach house. The cases are 16mm white melamine. The upper cabinets are fitted for downlights to showcase the front of the cabinets and provide lighting to the front half of the countertops. The doors are all flat panel T&G. Everything is finished in acrylic white stain to give it the limewash effect that is popular here. The tops are a reddish brown laminate that gives a nice contrast to the white cabinets.

I personally like the look of re-cycled wood, its softer, has more history

Nice job of it!!!!

I like the panels, what did you do, take the flooring down to 1/2 and use a rabbit on the back?
did you glue the panels or leave the boards loose
anything on the back to help hold them together?
