Project Information

My second cutting board project. Hard maple, cherry, and walnut brick pattern inspired by a video I saw on Youtube.
The panels during construction and the final board are wider than my planer so I flattened with a hand plane and my Rotex.
Hand planing end grain is a workout!
Now I have requests from friends and family members which, in my mind, may justify that drum sander I have been longing for.

Board looks great. Definitely a pattern that I would like to try.
Are the pads removable clips? Where did you get them?
I just finished 7 boards and have a few more to go. I feel you pain,
I don't have a drum sander either.

Kurt - the pads are called Chobs - dream farm.com.au
I picked them up at Woodcraft. They enable feet without drilling into the board which seemed like a good idea.

Very nice work. A drum sander will make these projects much more enjoyable, but no more satisfying. You did good!!!
