My wife Vicki found a address post with solar lighting on a the internet and thought it would make nice Christmas gifts for our kids. So this is my rendition of her find. 4×4 treated posts with PVC wood accents and sign.. The solar light on top. I wanted the accents to last so I decided to use the PVC wood. PVC is easy to work with because of its composition but the dust from it is pretty nasty and it seems to adhere to everything. Gluing is pretty straight forward using PVC cement. The vertical post is 72 in in length, 2 foot gets buried. Made 4 of them. Sorry I didn’t take more pictures. Thanks for looking.

Nice looking posts
I bought some PVC boards from Lowes to replace trim on the outside of the shop. Initially I tried the PVC glue sold in the plumbing department but found that it would not bind the pieces. I had the same experience with Liquid Nails construction adhesive.
What type of PVC cement did you use?

It’s very nice and will make a great accent to your house as well as performing a practical function.

Very nice and a great gift. I haven’t heard of PVC wood before, though I suspect companies here are probably making things with it.
WoodNSawdust It might be a good idea to clean the glue area with a cleaning fluid used for pvc before gluing.
