This is my 1st commissioned project!! My cousin wanted something special for his family, so he asked if I would make him some extra large cutting boards for them for Christmas.

Well here they are in all their glory!! Made from strips of black walnut, hard maple, and hickory. Just ripped some 5/4 stock, glued them up, ran them through my Jet 16/32 drum sander(which saved me HOURS of sanding, the bane of every woodworker!!). They came out perfectly flat, and parallel. Then through the grits on my ROS and finished off with Howards Cutting Board Oil for 2 coats, then Howards Butcher Block Conditioner.

They are 16”x24” and around 1.1/16” thick, except for the 1st one for my wife. She makes home made noodles, and needed it larger!! It’s great to do some woodworking again!!

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!! And Happy New Year!!!

You would not be without the 16/32 if you make boards… and you make a very nice board…

Keep up the good work…
