My sister-in-law wanted a personalized cutting board for a gift. She said it would be used for decoration, but I decided to make it pretty on one side and usable on the other. I stack cut two 3/8” boards to get the R inlayed. I cut the R at about 3 degrees on my scroll saw so it fit snug. Once it dried, I sanded it flat. Next, I glued it to a 1” end grain maple board and this is what I ended up with. My wife loves it, hopefully the sis-in-law will too.

Great job, I really like the personal touch of the “R”.
