started this thing a full year ago, it’s the first piece of furniture i built at home. not having the colleges tools and shop at my disposal made me realize how easy it was there. the coffee table was a good excuse to buy more tools for home. the case is maple ply with alder legs, the edging on the table tops and drawer fronts is alder as well. which was also supposed to be natural colored like the legs but i learned masking stain only works so well. the outside sections of the top flip up and the drawers in the middle have full extension hardware. kind of a rustic piece i suppose, first piece of furniture that came 100% from my imagination and not modifying a plan. there is still some finishing to do, but my garage isnt heated so i had to stop at the 4th coat of wipe on poly. so my wife gets the coffee table she wanted for christmas a full year later, no big right?

Nice design. I like the lids on either side. Good work.
