Well we have some more feral cats this one is in the front. So I wanted to make a box that would not look like a cat house. So I came up with this tried to make it look like a table from the street. All from scaps that I got dumpster diving mostly pallets Happy wife happy life

I use to keep our local ferals warm in the winter by putting an old blanket in the cat house and keeping the whole thing warm with a crock pot I got at a yard sale.

Good looking solution. I hope the cats appreciate it. It is nice to know that they have a place of their own.

Feral cats are responsible for the 50% decrease in the number of songbirds nationally. They have completely wiped out our quail and kildeer population. Sorry, but I’m not a fan of feral cats!!!

I like it. I was thinking of building something for the cats around my house.
They offer a lot of benefits around here. They’re known for killing rattlesnakes and tarantulas around here, so are more than welcome around most of the rural areas here.

I find shotguns work best but I commend your effort.

I put food in a nice little home for them, when they eat the food the door slams shut and I call the animal shelter to come and remove them. Hate them little bastards, shittin in my gardens, spraying their scent everywhere.
I’m with Fridge, if it weren’t against the law. Can’t wait until they have a litter and their litters have litters, then you can have little tables all around your house.

”Dr Morris says that the domestic cat “may produce an average of four to five kittens in each of their annual three litters.” He goes on to say that if we start with a single breeding pair of domestic cats, allow for fourteen kittens per year, the total after five years based on simple mathematics is 65,536.”

Have any of you heard of trap and spay? Or how about spaying your own cats. Some of us like animals and don’t wish to see them harmed.
Kudos to IdeaBill and those who believe in Gandhi’s philosophy that states:
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated” Mahatma Gandi (1869-1948)

Sorry for the rant. The more people I meet, the more I like animals.

You betcha, Ellen!

Around here there are a lot of spay and release programs. Even our vet does it pro-bono.

That is really nice! And a nice idea for the cats. Sorry guys, I am a fan of cats. Not all feral cats are feral. Some are someones pet that got lost and is now on it’s own.

Yeah, nothing else eats them, eh?

Don’t worry about it – they only eat the stupid and the slow.

I like cats. They taste like chicken. ;) I have two mixed breed Chihuahuas. They are a load of fun. We can play with them, laugh at their antics when they chase each other through the house, cuddle with them while watching a ball game, watch them get excited to see us when we come home. My brother-in-law has had two cats. All they did was eat, sleep, and crap in a box.
I have to say Amen to xxx’s comment.

Comedienne Rita Rudner summed it up this way: Every time I see a cat, I think “What a waste of fur.”
