Just a base I made for a local Taxidermy shop (Hang ‘em High Taxidermy). It’s 18” tall and 52” square. Beetle Kill Pine.

Not my Elk.

Thanks for reading and all comments and suggestions are welcome.

But if you make elk, it would be cool like that one!!! Great job on the “mounting” base air!!!

Wow Monte,

I was just talking about your style and here you are. I’m not sure I could do this one. LOL! Keep them commissions coming!

Nicely crafted stand, Monte! If you turn the elk’s left ear does the top slide back to reveal the hot tub?
Sorry, couldn’t resist! Thanks for sharing.

So Its just a base, something you just wipped up. Really it is very nice even if you didn’t make the elk. You have done so many projects that you just wip up. I haven’t been able to view them all at the time and comment. But I do go through them and often show them to people. There is an immense amount of pine in BC. but none with the extent of blue that you are able to get. You sure have tuned it into a great business with items unique to you.
Have a Merry Christmas. don’t spend the whole day in your shop.

Well done. It strikes me a mini-gauge train would look good on that.

That turned out just perfectly. Your base, a nice elk, and the “landscaping”: very cool way to display a trophy elk.

The base is cool, good work, the Elk head coming out of the ground looks a little stupid to me, JMO

that looks real nice, Monte. The amount of $$ they ask for those bases can be a little bit ridiculous, and they are not as nice as this one.

hope the person getting this mount has lots of room in their house to put it! an Elk mount is no joke, Yikes!
