This is a utilitarian project. A few year ago we remodeled a bathroom and included a built in cabinet in a recess. When finished the cabinet left a unused space in the cabinet bottom. The cabinet construction did not allow for mounting shelving. My solution was to use left over drawer slides mounted under a pull out unit. This provides a couple of useful shelves and sides to hold the contents in place. The bottom drawer base is removable to allow for attaching the insert to the cabinet base. It all worked out pretty well.

Good idea for otherwise wasted space.
