Shaving Stand

I decided to shave the old-fashion way when I returned from the store with sticker-shock after purchasing replacement blades from my name-brand razor. The little shaving stand holds a safety razor, brush, soap mug, and a second mug used for cleaning and catching drips. It is made out of red oak and padauk.

Very nice job! I remember watching my Grandfather and Great Grandfather’s shaving with all that fine stuff, but only in the last year have I thought about that being my method of shaving. Perhaps because I work for myself though, I am a very lazy shaver, and it would be wasted on me.

Great looking shaving stand! And I know what you mean about sticker shock—$15 for my last set of 5 cartridges!

Looks good! Cant beat the old safety razor, for $15 you can get 100 blades instead of 5! The initial investment is a bit steep but over the last 5 yrs I have only had to buy more shaving soap which is also dirt cheap.
