Project Information

The was a win-win project. Stocking stuffers for the wife and kids that allowed me to use up some scraps in the shop. I made them out of oak, poplar and cedar. The first has a catch tray but the other two just have a recess I bored with a forstner bit. Will fill with M&M's which should guarantee a positive reaction come Christmas morning…link

Jim- Thank you sir. Is eastern Michigan university far from you? My daughter has a interview there for the doctorate program and I would like to know about the area….

Candy- thank you buddy-ett. Who doesn't like M&M's right??? Fun fact for ya, they make them about 15 miles from here….

Another fine job by BusterB! Great use of scrap material. I don't know your people, but I know they will love them. The reason? I haven't found anyone that doesn't go gaga for M&Ms. As far as the plant being so close to you, you're a better man than I. If I was that close I would need a wheelbarrow to tote my belly around. M&M dispensers rule. You're awesome dude.

Candy- you would think so wouldn't you…lol like most we get them at the grocery store by way of New York or Atlanta I am sure…

Ivan- Thank you sir. Soon Ivan…very soon…lol

Jeff- thank you buddy. I almost need a wheelbarrow to tote mine around as it is…lol The local Christmas parade is great…they toss out the snack size packs by the fist full. Couple of years ago, we gathered up a grocery sack full of them…may be why I need the wheelbarrow… ROFL Merry Christmas my frozen friend.

Great job Buster. Just make sure you put m&m peanuts in one of them or I won't be there for Christmas. ha ha. My son confiscated one of mine already cause he couldn't wait. Who doesn't like m&m's.

Pretty cool. Let me tell a story, I made one years ago so my grands could have M&M's at Paw paws house. Well when the one that is 22 now came home for Christmas last year she wanted it , no problem she got it. When her brother found out I had to a make a new one last year for him as surprise. They treasure the little things like this for a long time past when you think they would . Merry Christmas to all.

Ive made several of these and for some reason, every time i try to dispense the candy, it gets caught between the top of the drawer and the bottom of the storage area and breaks the candy in half. What am i doing wrong?
