My talented baby girl (she will kill me for calling her that) has played the flute for the past 6 years and I wanted to build something from the heart for her that shows my love an support for her. So, while reading through a Feb/Mar 2013 Woodcraft magazine I seen a music stand that look really neat. It had techniques in it that I have never done (bent laminate) and thought this is perfect for her. So off I went. I ordered a “cherrie” piece of cherry and maple from Bell Forest and started the build. I also needed to build a form for the legs, ensure I had enough clamps, space, time, etc. This will be a 3 to 4 part post because of the time and numerous photo’s i took. It’s not quite completed yet but hope to have id under the tree by Christmas day. This is what I came up with.

Cool project but maybe a blog would better capture this.

Or instead of updates on it, show us your finished project.

Don, you have a point there. Food for though on future projects. Thanks!
