My wife has her own cleaning business and one of her clients had a long serving tray by a prominent woodworker with the last name Whol I believe, really nice work. My wife was talking to her client about it and told her about me woodworking and she asked if I could make one similar to give as a gift. Gave it a shot, first time doing a juice groove, was a pain with my skil router because it would plunge down and when I locked it in it would come up a little which left a divot that I have to sand the heck out of to blend it in. She likes it a lot, another woman I’ve made stuff for before saw it and had to make her one too. It’s 12” wide and 36” long from a single piece of cherry, hope it stays flat, was going to do it out of two pieces but she wanted a solid piece of wood.
