This is a lazy susan I made for my wife. It measures 14” across. The woods are cherry maple and some kind of walnut, The walnut is not taking the finish very well,I used 2 coats of de waxed shellac 3 coats of poly. Any thoughts? This was frustrating lesson. thanks

It’s one awesome lazy susan! Much effort, one of the best. I like the combination of cutting board design on lazy susan.

Hi there ! first this is a very nice work, personnaly I use ’’Tung Oil ’’ on all of my pieces destined to the kitchen 24 hours appart each coat or ’’Danish oil ’’ on everything else and walnut react very beautifully to that method, again try and error is common to all of us.
Keep on making saw dust , bravo once more.
